Somewhere in the corner of a Melbourne suburb a cocktail called 'Sometimes on a Tuesday' was born.  It was made with Tequila and cold drip coffee, two things that were almost a necessity to get through a Tuesday at the restaurant I used to work at.  Tuesdays were, to put nicely, the day where Murphy's Law, Friday the 13th, black cats under ladders were rolled into one.  But we always made it though with big smiles and sighs of relief, ready for that cocktail at the end of the rainbow.

My days are a mixture of surprises, bad timing, perfect timing, rolling seas, and strange lands with stranger people.  But in all of them, there is one commonality - wine.  First and foremost, this blog is about wine.  It is about how I interact with it, but more so, how wine interacts with the world, and how cultures, personal experiences, friendships and great conversations come from it.  This is a map of the world, in the eyes of Bacchus's favourite tipple.

Priorat amongst old vines

I am a sommelier currently working in private yachts. My perspective of wine, my great passion, is the context in which I lay my thoughts, my experiences, and my encounters with wine lovers around the world in this blog.  I hope you enjoy my stories.
